START / FINISH

The event starts and finishes at Lang Park, right on the City Beach foreshore, providing a fun spectator vantage point for supporters!

REGISTRATION AREA

Situated at Lang Park; check the event schedule for registration times. After the race there will be refreshments available and post-event activities.

START TIME

Runners in the Peoplecare Fitness 5 will start at TBC.

PARKING

Nearby street parking is limited. We encourage car pooling or public transport where possible.

DRINK STATIONS

A drink station will be located on the course.

TOILETS

Toilets are located at Lang Park.

Course: 5km

This year’s Fitness 5 event will introduce an Elite Invitational wave. Reserved for elite athletes, this exclusive group will have a priority start in the initial wave. To qualify, male runners must showcase a 5km run time under 15 minutes, while female participants should demonstrate a time under 17:30 minutes. Email office@eliteenergy.com.au for your access code for this wave.

About the Peoplecare Fitness 5

The Peoplecare Fitness 5 Fun Run is designed to promote healthy lifestyles in our community, offering an achievable distance suitable for individuals of all fitness levels. Participants can select either the 5km footrace, looping along the foreshore at Wollongong Harbour, or the newly introduced 2km race. The event kicks off and concludes at Lang Park, providing a fantastic viewing spot for supporters. Join us in fostering wellness and inclusivity!

The Peoplecare Fitness 5 Fun Run has raised over $100,000 for local charities and community projects since its inception. Charities to have benefited have included Camp Quality, the Children’s Ward Appeal, Ebony House, Cram House, the Beaton Park Grandstand Fund, Wollongong Hospital Oncology Ward, Beta-Imager Appeal, the McGrath Foundation, and the West Dapto Cross-Country Park Project Fund.
